Welcome Our New Executive Director &
Benevolence Coordinator
Common Ground Community Building is excited to announce that Kate Amick will be the new Executive Director effective December. She will be replaced in her position as Benevolence Coordinator by Edwin Cooper.
Kate has been working with Common Ground as Benevolence Coordinator since the summer of 2020. She also serves on the board of the Capital City Diaper Bank, Co-Chairs the Common Ground Fundraising Committee and does various volunteer work in our community including at her children’s school and local community theaters. She has a passion for serving others and her organization and attention to detail make her a perfect fit to lead Common Ground.
Edwin recently retired after more than 20 years of direct experience in affordable housing for the Department of Mental Health. He has an extensive history working with community providers, faith-based agencies, and community agencies. He is excited to get back to doing direct client assistance.
